neonatal pain management

   Hi there peeps

i have been a neonatal nurse now for 8 years, and worked in several NNU units , and i still find it hard to believe that doctors and some nurses dont seem to consider the preterm infant and pain relief at the moment i work in NICU and some babies here have alot of painfull procedures with no pain relief. are there any units out there that BELIEVE in pain relief during minor procedures (cannulation/ lumbar punctures ) if so what do you use and do you have a policy on , also  would it be possible to have a copy.
