   Community nurses are urging Chancellor Alastair Darling to compensate them for the soaring cost of petrol.

The Royal College of Nursing has written to him to warn that the UK's 60,000 community nurses cannot afford the extra cost of running a car...........

	Given that it's basically essential for a community nurse to run a car, it doesn't seem at all unreasonable to expect that these costs should be covered by the govt/NHS, people shouldn't have to pay work related costs out of their own pocket! Still, given this govt's record on U-turns, it should only take making enough noise to get them to back down. ;)
